May is Community Action Month, and We’ve Got the Proclamation to Prove It!
Community action agencies were created when President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 as part of the War on Poverty, and have been promoting self-sufficiency for low-income individuals in the U.S. for 48 years.
